Bee Heart

What in the world was I thinking?
To save you, not me.
When the ship was sinking.

My kind heart, is, well,
too kind.
Such as the one that is
too hard to find.

But there goes you.
In all your vanity.
Must have had a sweet time.
Messin’ with my sanity.

My kind heart says
let it be.

My poor heart is a honey bee.
It only seeks the sweetness of life
And just cares to be free.
